Having gained an initial advantage, Player A decides to start the barrel, looking to increase the pot while keeping the pressure on his opponents.
After the flop, Player A, positioned in late position, faces a check from all of his opponents. Seizing the opportunity, Player A makes a large continuation bet, roughly half the pot. This bet serves a dual purpose: it tests his opponents’ resolve and simultaneously lays the groundwork for potential aggressive play in subsequent rounds. The narrative is one of confidence and strength, assuming a hand or strong draw.
